LEGO Technic launches a live brand experience in China

LEGO fans in China can hands on with Technic at a pop-up experience in Indigo, Beijing.

To help promote LEGO Technic, the LEGO Group has launched a “Build for Real” experience in Beijing, China. The short-run promotional event is intended to boost awareness of the theme. It is designed around the Function Lab, showcasing the functional aspect of building with the LEGO Technic system through interactive challenges, the Drum reports. The experience highlights the next level challenge that the theme offers when compared to traditional System sets.

Visitors to the experience can use the Whack and Bash sets in a crash test challenge, try parking the All-Terrain Tow Truck and have a go at building a wall using the 42082 Rough Terrain Crane. All of the sets have launched this year as part of the latest technical line-up. Most impressive of all the displays is a working Bugatti Chiron engine, built entirely from LEGO bricks, to showcase the LEGO Technic 42083 Bugatti Chiron set.

Four new LEGO Technic sets were released a few days ago, offering large, challenging builds:

42079 Heavy Duty Forklift
42080 Forest Machine
42081 Volvo Concept Wheel Loader ZEUX
42082 Rough Terrain Crane

The event will run until August 12.

The current LEGO Technic range is available now at shop.LEGO.com.
