LEGO Disney The Little Mermaid sets and 18+ model officially revealed 

With the live-action The Little Mermaid remake approaching, the LEGO Group have officially revealed a diverse range of sets for the film. 

A trio of The Little Mermaid models is shining a spotlight on the live-action movie ahead of its release on May 26, 2023. The collection includes 43213 Little Mermaid Story Book, 43229 Ariel’s Treasure Chest and the biggest of the lot, 43225 Little Mermaid Royal Clamshell. 

43225 Little Mermaid Royal Clamshell

Price: £139.99 / $159.99 / €159.99 Pieces: 1,808 Release date: May 4, 2023 (Pre-orders open April 23, 2023)

The highlight of the range is the first 18+ set based on The Little Mermaid (live-action or animated), 43225 Little Mermaid Royal Clamshell. The model acts as a display-focused centrepiece inspired by the film with Ariel, Ursula, King Triton, Sebastian, Flounder, and Ariel’s sisters Indira and Karina. Designed for adult enthusiasts, the throne rock, Ariel’s grotto and Ursula’s lair are all included alongside the pieces for Flounder and Sebastian.  

The clamshell model is an eye-catching build and can be yours starting May 4, 2023, with pre-orders open from April 23, 2022, too. 43225 Little Mermaid Royal Clamshell costs £139.99 / $159.99 / €159.99. 

43229 Ariel’s Treasure Chest

Also revealed today for The Little Mermaid remake is 43229 Ariel’s Treasure Chest featuring Ariel, Sebastian and Flounder in a functional chest creation with secret drawers for storing whozits and whatzits galore. Turning the lock will make Ariel, Sebastian and Flounder spin too. 43229 Ariel’s Treasure Chest launches on June 1, 2023, for £42.99 / $47.99 / €47.99 

43213 Little Mermaid Story Book

43213 Little Mermaid Story Book is the latest in the LEGO Disney Story Book series, following Peter Pan and Wendy’s build earlier this year. 43213 Little Mermaid Story Book features micro-dolls of Ariel, Ursula and Eric but the press release mentions a King Triton figure that doesn’t appear to be visible in official images. This could be a mistake. 43213 Little Mermaid Story Book releases on May 1, 2023, for £17.99 / $19.99 / €19.99. 

All three The Little Mermaid sets launch ahead of the movie’s release on May 1, 2023, with pre-orders for 43225 Little Mermaid Royal Clamshell starting April 23, 2023.
