LEGO 5009325 The Simpsons Living Room GWP revealed

Early adopters of next month’s LEGO Icons 10352 The Simpsons: Krusty Burger will receive a free copy of 5009325 The Simpsons Living Room while stocks last.

Available from June 1 to 7 (or until the supply runs dry), 5009325 The Simpsons Living Room is a 123-piece vignette of the family’s living room – the clue’s in the name – that sits on a 12×12-stud base. It’s a tiny representation of the setting from the animated series, so much so that it will only fit two minifigures at most on its couch, but the LEGO Group has solved that problem by not including any minifigures in the first place.

The product description does say that the build is to scale with minifigures, so you can add existing minifigures (‘sold separately’) if you like. You’ll end up with Homer, Bart and Lisa through 10352 The Simpsons: Krusty Burger, but you’ll need to head to the aftermarket if you want to complete the main cast with Marge and Maggie, who were last seen on shelves in 2015.

As well as the couch, the vignette packs in the side table, phone, two lamps, boat painting – which looks to be printed, but could well be a sticker – rug and TV set, which is decorated with an ad for Krusty Burger. Again, it’s not entirely clear whether that’s a sticker or a printed piece, but fingers crossed for the latter to give this set at least some semblance of exclusivity (it is tied to a £180 set, after all).

Head here for a closer look at 10352 The Simpsons: Krusty Burger, and keep an eye out for 5009325 The Simpsons Living Room at LEGO.com and in LEGO Stores from June 1.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
