The results of the annual Toy of the Year Awards for 2023 have been announced after the LEGO Group was previously nominated across many categories with multiple sets in some and one in others.

The LEGO Group has managed to win in the following categories after having eight sets nominated. They only missed out on the awards for collectible toy and preschool toy but ended up tying in the infant / toddler toy category too.

Compared to previous years, the LEGO Group are walking away with one less award than in 2022 and three less than earlier in 2022. They’ve matched their total number of awards from 2021, beaten their 2020 total, matched the 2019 awards and beaten their 2018 and 2017 totals too.

They’re still managing to win in the construction toy category as well as the newer grown-up toy category, the former of which seems made for them.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
