The Wizarding World of Harry Potter will return to the LEGO portfolio in 2018, with a few rumours about the sets now available.

Brick Fanatics has received a little information about the LEGO Wizarding World of Harry Potter theme that is launching in 2018. Ahead of the release of Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, a new LEGO theme is due to launch, expected in September.

The rumoured sets based on the original Harry Potter series are:

  • Aragog with Harry Potter and Ron Weasley
  • Flying Ford Anglia with Weeping Willow
  • Hogwarts Great Hall

Two sets based on the Fantastic Beasts films are expected to be part of the launch wave:

  • Newt Scamander’s suitcase – this is rumoured to be a buildable, child sized suitcase. There are brick built beasts included too, in minifigure scale, that can be stored in the case.
  • A set based on Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, no further detail currently available.

Fans of the Harry Potter series have been keen to see a return for the theme, and this latest iteration looks like it will cover both the original series of stories as well as the new Fantastic Beasts film series. The information shared here should be treated as rumour, until official details are revealed by the LEGO Group.

Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald is due for release on November 16, 2018.
