LEGOLAND New York Resort to open water playground

A new attraction opening at one of the most recent LEGOLAND resorts has been announced as New York is set to receive a water playground.

LEGOLAND New York’s 2023 season will see the debut of a pirate-themed water playground, opening on March 31, 2023.

“New York summers are hot – which is one of the reasons we’re so excited to give families a place to cool off this year,” comments LEGOLAND New York Resort divisional director Stephanie Johnson.

“We have no doubt our Water Playground will become the heart of the Park this season with its four water slides and new creative building opportunities for kids. Everything we do is for the love of fun, and we’re committed to building unforgettable offerings that will keep families coming back to our Resort again and again.”

Provided concept art of the attraction reveals that as well as pirates, an overall beach theme will see minifigures and models placed on a structure with slides and other water features.

Opened in 2021, LEGOLAND New York will also become a newly Certified Autism Center on March 31, with the team working with the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES) to train staff in best practices in serving guests with autism and their families.

The water playground joins another Pirate attraction recently debuted at LEGOLAND Florida. Also coming soon to the LEGO theme parks around the world is a San Diego Miniland in California and the second MYTHICA land with a roller coaster in Germany.
