LEGO’s availability is finally getting better

It looks like the LEGO Group is finally starting to get a handle on its inventory levels in the aftermath of Black Friday and Christmas 2021.

During and following those two major shopping events, many of the company’s biggest and best sets were either temporarily out of stock or on back order until well into 2022. As of this week, however, several of those products have shifted back to ‘available now’, which means they’ll be shipped pretty much straight away.

Among those are titans like 10276 Colosseum and 42115 Lamborghini Sián FKP 37, as well as smaller 18+ sets including 75308 R2-D2 and 10295 Porsche 911. All four of those sets are part of Brick Fanatics’ Top 20 LEGO Sets List, and until today were all on back order until late January or even early February.

There are still a few heavyweights from 2021 that are temporarily out of stock – including 76178 Daily Bugle and 76391 Hogwarts Icons Collectors’ Edition – but you can sign up to our stock alerts to be notified when they’re back.

The good news is that it means there’s plenty to buy when 40532 Vintage Taxi drops later this week. The 163-piece gift-with-purchase is expected to be free with purchases above £200 / $200 / €200 from January 28 (or International LEGO Day). Check out the first images here.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.

Do you have anything to say about the Lego Ideas Home Alone set? Couple of weeks ago it got back to lego.com but just about an hour later it was out of stock again. How is that possible? When will they get more of them? Same with Santa’s visit. I already have that set but still the same thing happend with it just a little longer ago.
