LEGO’s biggest Spider-Man set to date swings back on to the online store

Bring us LEGO models of Spider-Man: the biggest set based on the wall-crawler’s comics to date has just swung back in stock online.

Just like 10294 Titanic – another massive set that’s just been restocked in the UK and Europe – LEGO Marvel’s largest set has proven tricky to come by over the past few weeks, but 76178 Daily Bugle is now available to order with immediate delivery across the UK, US and Europe.

Weighing in at 3,772 pieces and with a whopping 25 minifigures in the box, last year’s direct-to-consumer set – which is only available through LEGO.com and select third-party retailers, making it hard to find and mostly immune to discounts – is the ultimate celebration of all things Spider-Man, including plenty of Spider-characters and the web-slinger’s rogues gallery.

There are also first-time renditions of other Marvel heroes and anti-heroes, too, including Blade, Daredevil and Punisher, making this one minifigure collectors shouldn’t miss out on. But as you’ll read in our detailed review, the build itself is plenty substantial too, offering a brilliant backdrop on which to situate those superheroes and villains.

It’s difficult to say how long this particular restock of 76178 Daily Bugle will last, but it’s a set that has an unfortunate habit of selling out (and staying sold out, often for weeks at a time). If it’s high on your wish list, don’t miss your chance to grab it. For now, the Spidey set also swings back into Brick Fanatics’ Top 20 LEGO Sets List – it’s just that good.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
