LEGO’s most improved themes in 2025
After a year of new LEGO sets, we can look back on how each theme has done compared to 2024, and see which are the most improved and why.
Across dozens of themes, hundreds of LEGO models have launched this year, and some product lines have shown remarkable growth since 2024. Whether that growth is in their identity or the number of products available, they’ve improved significantly this year.
Here’s a look at some of the LEGO Group’s most improved themes in 2025, and why they’ve improved more than any others from 2024 to 2025.
Architecture
2024

LEGO Architecture saw just a single set released in 2024, and while there’s nothing wrong with the huge 21061 Notre-Dame de Paris, it inherently limited the theme’s selection last year and its variety.
2025

2025 saw the LEGO Architecture set range double compared to that of 2024, with both 21062 Trevi Fountain and 21063 Neuschwanstein Castle launching across the year. LEGO Architecture is slowly getting on track to be back to the more varied ranges it was known for years ago, and this is a good first step.
Botanicals
2024

LEGO Botanicals wasn’t its own theme in 2024, instead being the Botanical Collection under LEGO Icons. Despite this, the range had quite a varied assortment of products, but it would prove to be nothing compared to 2025.
2025

2025 has seen LEGO Botanicals become its own individual theme, in turn allowing the line to increase its identity by receiving a dedicated polybag, gift-with-purchase and the usual array of varied LEGO plants. One such set was 10349 Happy Plants, a drastically different take on LEGO Botanicals that every theme needs.
Jurassic World
2024

With no new film in 2024, LEGO Jurassic World was left to focus on fossils and the adventures from the Chaos Theory series. Though it still managed to introduce several new minifigures and a couple of fresh LEGO dinosaurs, it wasn’t nearly as good as that of 2025 overall.
2025

This year saw LEGO Jurassic World continue concepts seen in 2024, such as the fossils. The fossil models expanded with the likes of the massive 76968 Dinosaur Fossils: Tyrannosaurus rex and another smaller skull creation. The baby dinosaur builds continued with 76967 Little Eatie: T. rex, but it was the release of a new movie that really allowed LEGO Jurassic World to improve.
Jurassic World: Rebirth saw a full wave of sets released with several new minifigures and a few fresh dinosaurs. These sets are huge improvements on those in 2024, covering more concepts and with more features to explore.
Wicked
2024

LEGO Wicked’s debut in 2024 saw the musical movie treated to several sets, but many fans were disappointed to see that they only featured mini-dolls. Thankfully, this wouldn’t be the case for long.
2025

In 2025, LEGO Wicked expanded to include minifigures across sets aimed at an older audience, including 75685 Emerald City Wall Art and 75691 Glinda & Elphaba Bookends. The mini-doll sets continued this year, but at least fans now have the option of minifigures or mini-dolls.
