Make a new DC villain for the LEGO Batman game

DC has launched a new sweepstakes for LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight that will see a new villain debut in post-launch content.

A one-of-a-kind contest is now open for LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight, inviting DC fans and LEGO fans alike to create an all-new DC Batman villain who may well become part of the official DC canon. The character will debut in Detective Comics #1113, as well as a piece of post-launch content for the LEGO Batman game. Both are due in September 2026.

It’s the first time that fans have been able to create a new character in this way, and you enter by filling out the form here. The contest is open in the US, Canada and the United Kingdom only. You can find the full list of rules here.

The grand prize for this contest will include the chance to work with DC to select character traits and name the new character. It is not stated that you will receive a copy of the game, the DLC, or the comic due in September.

LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight will be released on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store on May 22. Anyone who opts to purchase the Deluxe Edition will be able to gain access to the game three days earlier, on May 19.
