One Mandalorian character might not be playable in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga features two Mandalorian DLCs, but a phrase in the latest trailer might suggest that Grogu isn’t playable.

The new gameplay overview trailer for LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga included the updated image of the Character Collection that features in the deluxe edition of the game. Seven DLC packs are included in the edition, including the newest one – the Trooper Pack. The Mandalorian has a pack for both seasons of the show, but a clarification on the collection’s image might reveal that not everyone is a full character.

The text below Din Djarin and Grogu is blurred, but you might be able to make out ‘Grogu is a companion character’. Other companion characters in the title have also been teased.

While the finer details of companion characters have yet to be explained, the six-minute gameplay overview trailer features a mention of a Porg Companion and one that might be Salacious B. Crumb, the Kowakian monkey-lizard.

Considering the gameplay of the money-lizard jester running after Jabba the Hutt and the clarification that Grogu is not a fully-fledged character in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, it might be that the infant is not playable alone and that you’ll need to use Din Djarin to have him on screen as he follows the Mandalorian around the galaxy.

This is only speculation for the time being and has not been officially confirmed with gameplay or an announcement from Warner Bros. Games or TT Games. We’ll know whether or not Grogu is playable in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga when the game launches after multiple delays on April 5, later this year.
