Marvel’s Secret Invasion sneak peek airs in secret online

You’ll need a not-so-secret code to watch the first five minutes of Marvel’s next live-action TV show, Secret Invasion.

Promo for Secret Invasion has been relatively low on the ground since Marvel Studios confirmed the release date of the Disney+ show. With just a couple of short weeks to go, you’d normally expect to have seen more of an upcoming title. In keeping with the secrecy theme, Marvel seems to have kept things under wraps – until now.

A dedicated website has been created where you can watch the first five minutes of the show. However, there’s a catch. Simply visiting theinvasionhasbegun.com isn’t enough; you’ll also need the secret code, RSD3PX5N7S, in order to access the footage.

Once you’ve done that, you’ll be met with an ‘encrypted file’ that loads to reveal a five-minute preview.

If you don’t fancy heading over to watch, the clip shows Martin Freeman’s Agent Ross going to visit a secretive contact, in the signature MCU disguise of a low-slung hat. When there, he’s presented with a theory that various terrorist attacks are the result of a secret Skrull invasion, the work of the shapeshifting aliens that we first met back in Captain Marvel.

Ross is at first unconvinced but ultimately says he will take the evidence to Fury, after watching a specific hologram. This seems to trigger something in his contact, as the clip ends with Ross being tackled to the ground.

Is Ross’ contact compromised? Is Ross himself a Skrull? That remains to be seen when Secret Invasion airs on June 21, starring Samuel L. Jackson, Cobie Smulders, and two newcomers to the MCU, Game of Thrones’ Emilia Clarke and The Crown’s Olivia Coleman.
