Marvel Studios announces Loki and Echo’s Disney+ streaming dates

The streaming dates for the return of Loki and the debut of Echo on Disney+ have been officially announced by Marvel Studios.

It’s been a while since new Marvel TV content has dropped on Disney+, with the last such addition to the streaming service being the Werewolf by Night special on October 7, 2022. In fact last year saw a wealth of comic book-related content appearing on the platform, including Moon Knight, Ms. Marvel and She-Hulk: Attorney at Law.

However, that’s about to change in the coming months as Marvel Studios has announced the return of an existing live-action series and the debut of a new show. The company’s official Twitter account revealed the news that Loki Season 2 will start streaming on Disney+ on October 6, followed by all episodes of Echo on November 29.

The first season of the trickster god’s show ended on something of a cliffhanger, with statues of the Time-Keepers at the TVA’s headquarters being replaced by sculptures of Kang the Conqueror, with Jonathan Majors’ villain next appearing in Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania.

The decision by Marvel Studios to release all episodes of Echo at once is certainly an unusual move, but it will at least allow fans of the character to binge watch the entire season in one go. Alaqua Cox’s Maya Lopez first appeared in Hawkeye and her solo series is billed as a ‘limited drama.’ The deaf Native American superhero has also popped up in Daredevil, Moon Knight and Avengers comic books over the years, although there’s no guarantee any of those characters will appear in the Disney+ show.

A recent rumour suggested that a second series of Marvel Collectible Minifigures is reportedly launching on September 1, although that’s yet to be confirmed by the LEGO Group. If the details of that source are to be believed, we may be getting 12 new characters based around recent and upcoming Marvel Studios TV shows, including Echo.

However, that’s pure speculation for now, so do take all such LEGO Marvel rumours with a large dose of scepticism until we hear otherwise.
