Michael Keaton’s Batman is a focus of LEGO DC for summer 2023 

With the reveal of a LEGO polybag, joining 76259 Batman Construction Figure, Michael Keaton’s Batman seems to be a focus for the LEGO Group in summer 2023.

The summer selection of LEGO DC sets is more limited than Marvel, with two builds revealed at the time of writing – 76259 Batman Construction Figure and 30653 Batman 1992. 

There’s a common thread between these two creations – both are based on Michael Keaton’s iteration of Batman from the 1989 and 1992 films respectively. It’s not the first time that the LEGO Group has turned the focus of LEGO DC to this iteration of the Caped Crusader. 

This includes 76139 1989 Batmobile, 76161 1989 Batwing and the 40433 1989 Batmobile – Limited Edition gift. However, the previous sets were released a year apart from each other in 2019 and 2020, apart from the GWP. 

This renowned focus on Michael Keaton’s Batman is likely tying into his appearance in The Flash on June 16, 2023. However, it’s worth keeping in mind that several LEGO Batman sets reportedly based on this iteration of the Caped Crusader are also rumoured for later this year.
