First Minecraft Movie trailer might hint at 2025 LEGO sets
With three LEGO Minecraft 2025 sets rumoured to be based on A Minecraft Movie, the film’s first trailer might offer up some possibilities for the models.
Warner Bros. has finally released a first full trailer for A Minecraft Movie, with the Mojang video game inspired film due to arrive in cinemas worldwide on April 4, 2025. The footage includes Jack Black as Steve, alongside Jason Momoa and other human characters, as well as a horde of block-based mobs.
Recent rumours suggest that at least three LEGO Minecraft models based on A Minecraft Movie may be incoming next year, although that remains pure speculation for now. Initial set numbers, prices and piece counts for 21271, 21272 and 21273 have been suggested so far, but no hints as to what the names of the trio of builds might be.
Watching the first trailer for A Minecraft Movie does throw up some interesting possibilities for any such potential models though. For starters there’s a two-piece glowing blue cube that Steve appears to use to access the Overworld, emerging from a variant of a Nether portal.
Then there are floating Ghast being used by attacking Piglins as intimidating hot air balloons, a Redstone ore-powered mine cart chase through underground tunnels, and a village nestled beneath a gigantic stone arch.
In addition, we’d expect a number of new LEGO Minecraft minifigures spinning out of A Minecraft Movie. We wouldn’t be surprised to see an updated version of Steve that reflects the look of Jack Black, plus Jason Momoa’s Garrett “The Garbage Man” Garrison, Sebastian Eugene Hansen’s Henry, Emma Myers’ Natalie and Danielle Brooks Dawn.
For now we’ll be keeping an eye out for any official confirmation regarding LEGO Minecraft sets due to arrive in 2025 and update you as soon as we know more.
