More details on rumoured LEGO DC 76274 Batman: The Animated Series Batmobile
More details have surfaced on the rumoured LEGO DC 76274 Batman: The Animated Series Batmobile, which is said to be racing on to shelves this summer.
Hot on the heels of the newly-released 76271 Batman: The Animated Series Gotham City, the new minifigure-scale Batmobile is similarly said to take inspiration from the classic ‘90s show. Supposedly coming in at 435 pieces for $59.99 in the US, 76274 Batman: The Animated Series Batmobile is shaping up to be a successor to 76188 Batman Classic TV Series Batmobile, 76239 Batmobile Tumbler: Scarecrow Showdown and so on.
That means a minifigure-scale rendition of one of the Dark Knight’s most iconic rides, in this case recreating the sleek lines of the Batmobile as it appeared in Batman: The Animated Series. Rumours have been floating around for a little while that the set will include three minifigures – Batman, Harley Quinn and Mr. Freeze – but Clay_Bricks has now shared more details (via Brick Clicker) over on reddit.
76274 Batman: The Animated Series Batmobile is now rumoured to release in June in Europe and August in North America, and will apparently feature a rotatable display stand and info plaque – not unlike the retired 76188 Batman Classic TV Series Batmobile – and an exhaust with a flame element that moves when the car is in motion.
Batman is thought to come with a rubber cape, throwing into question exactly how he’ll sit down in his own car – maybe there’ll be a spare cloth cape too? – while Harley Quinn is said to be equipped with a hammer accessory (and not for the first time). Finally, Mr. Freeze is rumoured to be toting a stud-shooter, presumably firing off trans-blue 1×1 plates.
These details should still be taken lightly until we get official confirmation from the LEGO Group, but 76274 Batman: The Animated Series Batmobile is shaping up to be something pretty special for Batman fans who can’t quite stretch to 76271 Batman: The Animated Series Gotham City (and even those who can). Should be dark blue as it was in the animated series. My son and i have rewatched (up to middle of season 3 so far). It is dark blue but when its in the shadows it looks black.
