More details on rumoured LEGO Star Wars and Marvel minifigure packs

More details have surfaced on the rumoured LEGO Star Wars and Marvel minifigure accessory packs, indicating ‘great surprises’ in store.

We’re well into rumour season now, and details on new LEGO products are trickling out almost hourly, which is why we’ve already got a few more specifics on these accessory sets – despite the fact we only heard about them earlier today.

Instagram user lego_club_news reports that a total of two Star Wars-themed minifigure packs will launch in January 2022, alongside one Marvel pack based on the Infinity Saga. There’s still no word on what exactly to expect from the Star Wars packs, which means they could realistically pull from any movie, TV show or era from a galaxy far, far away.

However, the same user suggests that the Marvel set will include ‘some great surprises’. Still not much to go on, but a little more promising than Star Wars.

If you’re unfamiliar with the LEGO Group’s line-up of blister pack sets, get up to speed with 40453 Batman vs. The Penguin & Harley Quinn40454 Spider-Man versus Venom and Iron Venom and 40500 Wizarding World Minifigure Accessory Set. They’re essentially just vehicles to boost minifigure collections, but also typically include fun mini-builds.

Look out for the rumoured Star Wars and Marvel versions to land on shelves in January next year, though don’t put too much stock in them until officially confirmed by the LEGO Group.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
