More evidence for a LEGO 2K football game surfaces
There’s more fuel for the rumour fire that is a potential LEGO 2K football game, thanks to game ratings in Korea.
We’d already spotted a mysterious polybag that hinted at a potential LEGO 2K football game, following up on the success of LEGO 2K Drive. Now, Gematsu reports that the Game Rating and Administration Committee of Korea has shared a rating of an unannounced game, titled LEGO 2K Goooal! Created by Take-Two Interactive, the game is believed to be under development at Sumo Digitals’ 2K department.
Originally, the football-based game was thought to be coming out ahead of LEGO 2K Drive, but obviously the order has been flipped. Nonetheless, game rating commissions’ listings precede just before formal announcements, so we could well see confirmation from 2K in the coming weeks or even days.
Gematsu also suggested that a third LEGO 2K game could also be on its way, focusing on a third sport aside from motorsports and football. However, this seems like a good time for a LEGO football game, what with the LEGO Group’s current Play Unstoppable campaign, as well as the release of 40634 Icons of Play.
