World-class players shine in the LEGO Group’s ‘Play Unstoppable’ video

A promo video for the LEGO Group’s ‘Play Unstoppable’ campaign puts world-class women’s football players in the spotlight.

The LEGO Group recently announced its ‘Play Unstoppable’ campaign, which ‘aims to challenge stereotypes around play and creative building and encourage girls to unlock the freedom they need to play without boundaries’.

Joining the team sheet for the campaign are world-class players Megan Rapinoe, Yuki Nagasato, Sam Kerr and Asisat Oshoala, all of whom make an appearance in minifigure form in the upcoming 40634 Icons of Play. The 899 piece set is due to launch on June 6 and will retail for £89.99 / $99.99 / €99.99. The build includes half a pitch, a spectators’ stand with scoreboard, a winners’ podium, a dug-out for the players and more.

To promote the ‘Play Unstoppable’ campaign, the LEGO Group has released a video on its YouTube channel, with footage featuring Rapinoe, Nagasato, Kerr and Oshoala. Also featured in the video are plenty of brick-based builds such as multicoloured trophies, footballs, targets and other sports-related models, with some shots seemingly filmed in the LEGO Group’s headquarters in Billund.

The concept behind the ‘Play Unstoppable’ promotional video supports the LEGO Group’s main campaign, encouraging girls to do mighty things, try again, express themselves and achieve seemingly-impossible goals.

40634 Icons of Play will be released on June 6 when it will be available for purchase from LEGO.com and in LEGO Stores.
