More LEGO Star Wars 25th anniversary minifigures rumoured for 2024
Two more LEGO Star Wars 25th anniversary minifigures are said to be on the way in 2024, including one of the most heavily-requested characters over the past couple of years.
The LEGO Group is rumoured to be cooking up a series of obscure Star Wars minifigures for the theme’s 25th anniversary, spreading them liberally through this year’s sets in a way not unlike the 20th anniversary characters in 2019. Reading like a list of minifigures we would never see otherwise in sets, the first pair rumoured in October last year include The Knights of the Old Republic’s Darth Malak and 501st trooper Fives.
Those two characters are said to be included with 75379 R2-D2 and 75387 Tantive IV Hallway respectively, both of which are scheduled to launch in March (according to current rumours). Instagram user 1414falconfan now reports that Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order’s Cal Kestis and Young Leia from the Disney+ Obi-Wan Kenobi series will also be included in 25th-anniversary sets in 2024.
LEGO Star Wars fans have been clamouring for Cal Kestis since the original video game first dropped in 2019, and while the LEGO Group finally acknowledged the series in 2022’s 75335 BD-1, we’re yet to receive its main character. The first Cal Kestis minifigure will apparently arrive in his blue outfit from Fallen Order in 75394, which is currently one of the few complete unknowns in the LEGO Star Wars 2024 line-up – at least beyond a suggested price tag of $79.99.
Leia, meanwhile, is said to be included in 75392, another set about which we know very little. Given the total disconnect between Malak, Fives and their respective sets, though, chances are these two models are not hooked to Jedi: Fallen Order or the Obi-Wan Kenobi series. That’s if these rumours are true: we still have no confirmation that the LEGO Group is planning 25th anniversary minifigures at all, so take it with a grain of salt for now.
