Three new LEGO Batman sets are out now with 1989 minifigures

The LEGO Group is expanding on the world of Michael Keaton’s Batman today with three new LEGO DC / Batman sets.

Featuring an array of familiar vehicles and character, but using new minifigures, three new LEGO DC / Batman sets have just launched on LEGO.com. As suggested, these all focus on the Caped Crusader and specifically seem to highlight the 1989 iteration of the character.

Considering the recent release of The Flash and Michael Keaton’s presence in that movie, this is unlikely to be a coincidence. As well as 76264 Batmobile Pursuit: Batman vs. The Joker, which isn’t directly connected to the 1989 Batman film, 76224 Batmobile: Batman vs. The Joker Chase offers a slice of 76252 Batcave –  Shadow Box at a fraction of the price.

The detailed Batmobile included in the massive set is now available separately with a similar but not identical build. It also includes a Batman and Joker minifigure to recreate moments from the movie.

It’s one of a trio of new LEGO DC sets available for August 2023, and here’s a guide to what you can expect online and in-store now.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
