New LEGO Creator 40747 Daffodils remakes existing set

Ahead of 40646 Daffodils’ retirement, a new set with a familiar take on the LEGO flower has been officially revealed to replace it.

The kids’ section of LEGO.com has been updated with a new LEGO Creator set, joining the long list of models launching in 2024. The previously-rumoured 40747 Daffodils might look familiar as it could easily be confused with an existing set.

Featuring four daffodils with yellow and white petals, 40747 Daffodils’ build seems to be exactly the same as 40646 Daffodils. The LEGO Botanical Collection build is scheduled to retire at the end of 2023. It’s also listed as a LEGO Creator set while 40646 Daffodils is a LEGO Icons model as part of the flora-centric range.

It’s still a great way to pick up the coloured shield pieces and for those who already have 40646 Daffodils, you likely won’t need to acquire a copy of 40747 Daffodils unless you want more LEGO flowers to freshen up your bouquets.

Pricing, piece count and the release date have yet to be revealed, but for comparison 40646 Daffodils has 216 pieces for £10.99 / $12.99 / €12.99.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
