New LEGO Hogwarts Castle and Grounds set spotted online

Online retailer JB Spielwaren has revealed a new LEGO Hogwarts Castle and Grounds set, making it the smallest version of the castle that we’ve seen so far.

Several images of 76419 Hogwarts Castle and Grounds have appeared on the retailer’s website, confirming the earlier rumours that surrounded a new microscale castle model.

The 18+ set comes with 2,660 pieces and seems like it’s based on the fourth instalment in the series, with the ship and carriage in the sky likely being the Durmstrang ship and the Beauxbatons carriage.

The model as a whole stands at 13.5in high and 8.5in tall, in comparison to the current 16+ castle set 71043 Hogwarts Castle which is over 22in tall, despite also being referred to on the website as a microscale model. That set has 6020 pieces, making the new castle a significantly smaller set.

76419 Hogwarts Castle and Grounds also comes with the most detailed version we’ve seen so far of the minifigure version of the golden statue of the architect of Hogwarts. We’ve seen the minifigure before in the LEGO Harry Potter advent calendar, but with significantly less printing.

The new set has also been spotted on LEGO.com for kids, but we’re yet to see the set on the actual store, so stay tuned for that.
