New date for LEGO Fantasy Adventure Ride VIP reward confirmed

The LEGO Group has confirmed a new release date for the delayed fourth and final Bricktober 2022 model in the VIP Rewards Centre.

6427893 Fantasy Adventure Ride was originally slated to hit the VIP Rewards Centre on July 11, but failed to materialise as expected. The LEGO Group then advised shortly after that it had been pushed back to August – albeit without providing a specific date. It’s now confirmed that the Bricktober 2022 model will be available to claim from August 16, 2023.

The brick-built ride, which mimics coin-operated rides typically found at shopping centres, is one of four models originally produced for last year’s Bricktober range. These sets were first given away at Toys R Us stores in select regions, but have subsequently been released worldwide through the VIP Rewards Centre. Each set so far – including the Space, Pirate and Dragon Adventure Rides – have required 2,400 points to redeem.

It seems pretty likely that the Fantasy Adventure Ride will carry the same cost, so now is the time to shore up points if you’re short. The hard-to-find set will presumably be available in limited quantities – all three previous Bricktober 2022 sets in the VIP Rewards Centre are long gone – so you’ll probably need to act quickly next week to complete the collection.

The good news is that there’s a great incentive for shopping at LEGO.com right now, as 40594 Houses of the World 3 is finally available with orders above £220 / $250 / €250 – so you can earn enough VIP points to complete one collection by continuing another.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
