Every new piece in LEGO 77092 The Legend of Zelda: The Great Deku Tree

LEGO 77092 The Legend of Zelda: The Great Deku Tree 2-in-1 includes the debut of multiple new elements created specifically for the video game set.

The LEGO Group today revealed full details of 77092 The Legend of Zelda: The Great Deku Tree 2-in-1, a 2,500-piece build based on the iconic Nintendo video game series. The model is available for LEGO Insiders to pre-order from today, with everyone else getting a shot at the set when it launches on September 1, 2024 for £259.99 / $299.99 / €299.99.

77092 The Legend of Zelda: The Great Deku Tree 2-in-1 allows fans to recreate either the Great Deku Tree from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time or an alternate version from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. In addition, the direct-to-consumer build also comes with Link’s House, as well as minifigures of Princess Zelda and three different iterations of Link.

Taking a closer look at the upcoming 77092 The Legend of Zelda: The Great Deku Tree 2-in-1 also reveals that a number of exciting elements have been created specifically for the set. With that in mind, here’s every new part that we’ve managed to spot so far:

Hair and hats

Instead of simply reusing existing hair pieces, the LEGO model’s designers have included three new variants just for the video game-based build. For starters, Princess Zelda gains a dual-moulded yellow hair and ears element, one that’s similar in appearance to that of the elven minifigures in 10316 The Lord of the Rings: Rivendell.

Link also gains his own new pieces, with Ocarina of Time’s Link and Young Link both boasting the same green hat with yellow hair and pointed ears. However, the Breath of the Wild Link minifigure has his own dual-moulded tan hair and ears piece, in order to differentiate himself from his alternate selves.

Hylian and Traveler’s shields

Breath of the Wild’s Link has a number of interesting accessories in 77092 The Legend of Zelda: The Great Deku Tree 2-in-1, including a couple of printed defensive items that appeared in Breath of the Wild. For instance, the Traveler’s Shield emulates the look of the game’s shield, which is made from sturdy wood and animal hide, and features a twin serpent design on it.

The Hylian Shield on the other hand is the traditional shield used by the Knights of Hyrule and has evolved over time. In the Zelda games, the shield is made of steel, is an optimal weight for one-handed fighters and bears the Triforce symbol and Hylian Crest, with the latter representing the goddess, Hylia.

The Master Sword

Link’s legendary weapon will also be included in 77092 The Legend of Zelda: The Great Deku Tree 2-in-1, as a dual-moulded piece that looks to be a faithful recreation of the Master Sword. The iconic weapon has appeared in a number of Zelda games to date and has also been referred to as the Blade of Evil’s Bane and the Sword That Seals Darkness.

In the upcoming LEGO set, the Master Sword has its own brick-build pedestal which sits beneath the Great Deku Tree. In Breath of the Wild, the pedestal draws energy from the land to restore the weapon if it’s ever damaged.

Ocarina of Time

LEGO 77092 The Legend of Zelda The Great Deku Tree Ocarina

The Ocarina of Time was first featured in the 1998 Nintendo 64 game of the same name. Link can be spotted holding the new blue element on 77092 The Legend of Zelda: The Great Deku Tree 2-in-1’s box (and in this story’s featured image), although it doesn’t appear to have any printing on it.

During his adventures, Link learns to play 12 different melodies on the Ocarina, allowing the character (and players) to solve various music-based puzzles and teleport to previously visited locations. More importantly, the instrument also allows Link to claim the Master Sword and even transports the hero seven years into future, where he becomes an adult.

Honourable mentions

The first official images of 77092 The Legend of Zelda: The Great Deku Tree 2-in-1 reveal what look to be multiple printed pieces that also appear to be exclusive to the set. For starters, fans can expect to find a Sheikah Slate, a brown tablet bearing the Crest of the Sheikah, an item Link uses to make it safely out of the Shrine of Resurrection, and a Sheikah Stone.

Also included in the build is a floating N’avi the Fairy, a recurring character in the Zelda games who serves as Link’s companion, at least three different Korok, tiny forest spirits represented by printed leaf pieces and simple brick-built bodies, a Skulltula, the Deku Sprout’s face and a sign outside Link’s house.

77092 The Legend of Zelda: The Great Deku Tree 2-in-1 is available for Insiders to pre-order now and will launch online and in stores from September 1, priced at £259.99 / $299.99 / €299.99. For more on the upcoming LEGO set, take a look at our full visual tour right here.
