The latest Spider-Man: Brand New Day trailer has finally given us some context for one the movie's three LEGO sets.
Set four years after Spider-Man: No Way Home, the latest adventure in the Marvel Cinematic Universe sees Peter Parker investigating a powerful new threat while dealing with a dangerous evolution in his own powers.
On June 1, we received three LEGO sets based on the upcoming movie, but at the time we had only seen its first trailer. 76346 Spider-Man Hero Figure, a buildable Spider-Man model, obviously didn't require much context, while 76349 Spider-Man Prison Transport Chase appeared to depict a sequence from the trailer, albeit with some colour changes for the LEGO version.
76350 Spider-Man vs. Hulk Epic Clash, however, was different. The first trailer showed Bruce Banner, but not the Hulk himself. The set's existence strongly hinted that Banner would once again lose control and transform into his green alter ego. Now, the new trailer has shown us exactly what that looks like.

In the footage, Bruce transforms into the Savage Hulk while a mysterious character played by Sadie Sink mirrors his movements, strongly suggesting she is controlling him.
The trailer suggests that she possesses some form of mind control or telepathic ability, leading to fan speculation that she could be playing Jean Grey or another psychic Marvel character, although Marvel has yet to confirm her identity.
This finally gives us our first look at Spider-Man battling Hulk, shedding light on the scene that inspired the set. We even see one of the set's main play features recreated on screen.
Hulk smashes Spider-Man through part of a building, sending the pair crashing to the ground amid falling rubble. 76350 Spider-Man vs. Hulk Epic Clash includes breakaway walls that can collapse during play, and we now know that feature is based directly on a moment from the movie trailer.
Sadly, the trailer still doesn't explain the appearances of Tarantula, Scorpion or Boomerang in the scene, nor does it reveal why Spider-Man and Bruce Banner are together inside the Department of Damage Control building.
However, we now at least know which scene 76350 Spider-Man vs. Hulk Epic Clash represents. We are still scratching our heads over the inclusion of the Hot Dog Vendor minifigure, though perhaps the movie will have an explanation for that too.
If you want to pick up your own copy of any Brand New Day sets before it hits cinemas on July 31, all three are available now at LEGO.com. 76346 Spider-Man Hero Figure retails for £89.99 / $99.99 / €99.99, while 76349 Spider-Man Prison Transport Chase costs £44.99 / $49.99 / €49.99. 76350 Spider-Man vs. Hulk Epic Clash is priced at £79.99 / $89.99 / €89.99.
