No side of LEGO Star Wars UCS Venator is ugly

If you’re already wondering about how to store LEGO Star Wars 75367 Venator-Class Republic Attack Cruiser, a peek underneath could hold the answer.

At well over a metre long and 54cm wide, 75367 Venator-Class Republic Attack Cruiser is an impressively detailed set, adding some red flair to the otherwise long line of grey, triangular LEGO Star Wars ships. However, a UCS set of this size does pose a tricky question for those planning to buy: how do you display it?

Unless you have acres of shelf space to play with (in which case, tell us your secrets), finding the right spot to do a set like 75367 Venator-Class Republic Attack Cruiser justice is half the battle or adding it to your collection. The typical LEGO room or display area is usually dominated by enormous UCS builds, where you would normally be able to store three, four, or even five smaller builds.

There’s one area of prime LEGO display real estate that you might not be tapping into, however – and 75367 Venator-Class Republic Attack Cruiser lends itself to the method perfectly. That area is your ceiling, with the add of sturdy hooks and strong fish wire.

Hanging LEGO sets from the ceiling might seem daunting and dangerous, but the final effect is often impressive. One issue you might come up against is that the undersides of some sets aren’t that impressive or even ugly in some cases. However, 75367 Venator-Class Republic Attack Cruiser doesn’t have that issue, almost as if the designers had thought of this very eventuality.

The underbelly of the ship still has red detailing, rather than simply being grey all across, reflecting the same colour scheme as on the top. The rear thrusters are also visible, along with some of the turret guns on the side. What’s more, the unique silhouette of 75367 Venator-Class Republic Attack Cruiser means that it looks good from virtually any angle.

Of course, if you hang it so high that you can’t see any of the upper side of the ship, you will miss out on some of the details, such as the dual control towers and red lines on the wings. However, there’s surely a way to position your 75367 Venator-Class Republic Attack Cruiser to work on a 360-basis – especially as the design of the underbelly hasn’t been left messy. Plus, displaying the UCS build in flight reflects how it’s always appeared on screen, with 75367 Venator-Class Republic Attack Cruiser making a dramatic entrance to your LEGO Star Wars collection.

75367 Venator-Class Republic Attack Cruiser will sell for £559.99 / $649.99 / €649.99, launching for LEGO Insiders on October 1 and for everyone else on October 4. Click here for more on the newest addition to the Ultimate Collector Series.
