One week left for LEGO Ideas’ Singles Day challenge for new set

Time is running short to get your submission together for the LEGO Ideas Singles Day challenge, one of which will be a future gift-with-purchase.

Opened on May 23, LEGO Ideas’ challenge based on November 11’s Singles Day is only open for one more week, until June 27. A winner announcement is scheduled for July 18, so the competition will rapidly progress once it stops accepting entries.

The main part of the grand prize is the chance to have your build transformed into a future LEGO Ideas GWP. Think something similar to 40566 Ray the Castaway, 40533 Cosmic Cardboard Adventures and the upcoming Tribute to Galileo Galilei.

As well as that opportunity, the grand prize winner will take home 21340 Tales of The Space Age21338 A-Frame Cabin21337 Table Football and 21335 Motorised Lighthouse, while five runners-up will receive 21340 Tales of The Space Age and 21334 Jazz Quartet

Those prizes are exciting, but before you start building keep in mind that there are a few guidelines to go over. The main rule is that the model must use between 150 and 200 elements and you should avoid any taboo topics outlined on the challenge page too.

Entries so far include a mostly empty cinema screen, an autumnal hike and an especially meta model. You have one more week to join in with your own submission.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
