Prepare for LEGO BrickLink Designer Program Series 3 pre-orders
The next round of LEGO BrickLink Designer Program pre-orders is about to kick off, with five more fan-designed builds soon to be available.
Pre-orders will open for LEGO BrickLink Designer Program Series 3 on October 8 at 4pm (BST) / 8am PST. With just a few days to go, now seems a good time to remind you of what the five fan-designed builds are and how BrickLink pre-orders work.
Just like with Series 2, BrickLink Series 3 will soon open up to the public for crowdfunding. Up to 20,000 copies of each set will be produced and that only happens when they reach their crowdfunding minimum of at least 3,000 people. That means that once 20,000 pre-orders are made, you won’t be able to buy any more of the limited-run sets.
Read on for full galleries, prices, and details around the five Series 2 finalist sets, designed by fans and refined with the BrickLink Designer Program team.
Harbormaster’s Office
Price: £159.99 / $209.99 / €179.99 Pieces: 2,418 Minifigures: 6 Stickers: 14

Evoking feelings of the retired 21310 Old Fishing Store, Rich_Herbert’s Harbormaster’s Office stands on brick-built stilts on the blue ‘water’ base. The 2,418-piece rustic build will be available to pre-order for a reasonable £159.99 / $209.99 / €179.99 from October 8.
Forest Stronghold
Price: £249.99 / $299.99 / €279.99 Pieces: 3,395 Minifigures: 12 Stickers: 0

In another reasonably priced set for the massive piece count, Krackenator’s Forest Stronghold is one LEGO Castle fans won’t want to miss. With sweeping castle walls and a cast of 12 minifigures to man the walls, you’ll soon be able to pre-order the two-part build for £249.99 / $299.99 / €279.99.
Lost City
Price: £239.99 / $289.99 / €269.99 Pieces: 3,506 Minifigures: 2 Stickers: 0

letsgolegobrick’s Lost City is the biggest LEGO set in Series 3 (by piece count) – but surprisingly not the most expensive. It comes in cheaper than Forest Stronghold at £239.99 / $289.99 / €269.99, presumably because it features just two minifigures by comparison. The main build is similarly detailed, with unique features ranging from domes and turrets to a hidden pool.
The Art of Chocolate
Price: £189.99 / $229.99 / €209.99 Pieces: 2,615 Minifigures: 7 Stickers: 6

Those builders with a sweet tooth will love brickester’s The Art of Chocolate. A mid-range entry for Series 3 in terms of price, you can soon pre-order the sweet-filled build for £189.99 / $229.99 / €209.99 – leaving some money in the budget for a bar of chocolate to accompany the build.
Camping Adventure
Price: £44.99 / $54.99 / €49.99 Pieces: 669 Minifigures: 2 Stickers: 0

Last but not least, we come to the smallest and most affordable set in Series 3 with KingCreations’ Camping Adventure priced at £44.99 / $54.99 / €49.99 for 669 pieces. BrickLink tends to include at least one budget-friendly set and this cosy build still packs a lot into its smaller price and piece count.
