Retiring soon: Save 20% on 75301 Luke Skywalker’s X-Wing Fighter with John Lewis

Time is running out to deploy the s-foils on 75301 Luke Skywalker’s X-wing Fighter, which is retiring imminently – but can currently be picked up for 20% off with John Lewis‘s latest LEGO Star Wars deals.

The LEGO Group’s most recent minifigure-scale X-wing is also its most cost-effective in years, while still delivering a quality vehicle that doesn’t compromise on scale, aesthetics or even its minifigure line-up. But it’s not long for this world: 75301 Luke Skywalker’s X-wing Fighter is due to retire by the end of 2023. The good news is that you can grab your copy from John Lewis now while saving 20% using code MYJL10YLEGO.

Usually retailing for £44.99 – already a bargain compared to previous X-wings, which have flown alarmingly close to triple figures in price – 75301 Luke Skywalker’s X-wing Fighter is available for just £35.99 in this deal. If you want to feel even better about that price, the last original trilogy X-wing (2018’s 75218 X-wing Starfighter) retailed for a staggering £89.99 in the UK.

You’d be hard-pressed to tell much of an immediate difference between the two sets, either – such is the efficiency with which the LEGO Star Wars team has designed 75301 Luke Skywalker’s X-wing Fighter. The 474-piece set still clocks in at 31cm long, 28cm wide and 8cm tall, and includes four minifigures of Luke in his pilot fatigues, Princess Leia in her white dress from A New Hope, General Dodonna and R2-D2.

As an all-round package, this is basically the best LEGO Star Wars X-wing in years – and with one eye on the rumoured line-up for 2024 so far, there’s no telling when we’ll see a replacement. A minifigure-scale X-wing should be a core component of any LEGO Star Wars collection, so head over to John Lewis to grab yours while using code MYJL10YLEGO as a My John Lewis member.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
