Retiring soon: last chance to save on LEGO Ideas 21325 Medieval Blacksmith

21325 Medieval Blacksmith is teetering on the brink of retirement, but John Lewis is sending off the esteemed LEGO Ideas set with one final discount…

Earmarked for retirement by the end of 2023, the impressive medieval model has already sold out at LEGO.com in the US. It’s still available in the UK for £159.99, but you can beat that price at John Lewis right now, where 21325 Medieval Blacksmith is available for just £127.99. That’s a 20% saving on its RRP – and likely the last discount we’ll ever see on this LEGO Ideas set.

If you’ve been on the fence on this one or have just been eyeing up additional copies to create a full medieval town – Rebrickable has plenty of ideas for alternate builds – now’s the time to dive in. Most LEGO Ideas sets climb in price on the aftermarket, and you can bet that the same is going to happen to 21325 Medieval Blacksmith. This is probably the cheapest it will ever be again, is what we’re saying…

Based on a design by Clemens Fiedler, 21325 Medieval Blacksmith was the most ambitious LEGO Castle-adjacent set ever at the time of its release. It’s since been bested in piece count by 10305 Lion Knights’ Castle, but there’s still plenty to be said for the sheer scale and scope of the blacksmith, which takes incredible advantage of its 2,164 pieces to create the most detailed medieval LEGO building we’ve ever seen.

This price will only be available at John Lewis until December 24, or while stocks last – and once it’s gone, it’s unlikely to be coming back at this stage. Secure your copy of 21325 Medieval Blacksmith while the going’s good by heading over to John Lewis. Delivery in time for Christmas is still available, too.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
