Revisit classic themes with LEGO World Builder
LEGO World Builder is blasting back to the past for its latest design project, asking for artwork based on classic themes for a chance at earning part of the $750 project fund.
The ideas generation platform hosts a monthly banner image design project to help bolster its selection of inspiration images for budding architects to use in their worlds. This month, the theme is that of Classic Space, Castle and Pirates as artists are asked to share work based on the nostalgic LEGO ranges.
Anyone wanting to enter will need to ensure that their banner image follows the guidelines set on the website, including ensuring delivery by May 31 and keeping the image as a 1600 x 800 JPG or PNG file.
The LEGO Group will be compensating artists whose work is chosen for the contest by splitting a $750 project fund between them with at least three designs chosen.
Past themes for the design project have been Earth Day and Women in History. So far, the idea-generation platform has seen the announcement of a new LEGO Holiday Special and a NINJAGO short, so who knows what your banners will be able to inspire.

- LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
