Rumoured LEGO Marvel Buildable Spider-Man has big shoes to fill
With the rumoured LEGO Marvel 76346 Spider-Man Buildable Figure on the horizon, there are big brick-built shoes for it to fill.
The latest LEGO Marvel rumours suggest that one of three sets said to be released in support of Spider-Man: Brand New Day in the summer is expected to be 76346 Spider-Man Buildable Figure. Although the current rumoured name is a different structure, it immediately brings the recent 76344 Iron Man Mark 3 Collectors’ Edition to mind.
Of course, it’s worth noting that the Spider-Man set is not as yet said to be a collectors’ edition, but with the level of detail and accuracy that 76344 Iron Man Mark 3 Collectors’ Edition boasts, there’s definitely the hope that we could get something equally impressive for the web-slinging hero. Considering Iron Man and Spider-Man have been tied so closely together in the MCU’s recent timelines, the pair would make sense as a display-ready duo.
The on-paper rumoured details are also in line, with 76344 Iron Man Mark 3 Collectors’ Edition retailing at £119.99 / $129.99 / €129.99 for 1,297 pieces. 76346 Spider-Man Buildable Figure is said to be slightly smaller and cheaper, at $99.99 / €99.99 for 813 pieces.
That would be in line with Spider-Man having a slighter build to Iron Man, as well as potentially not coming with a display stand if it’s not a collectors’ edition model. A lot of 76344 Iron Man Mark 3 Collectors’ Edition pieces go into the bulky armour, with chunky shoulders, feet, and arms that eat into the piece count and therefore the price.
If 76346 Spider-Man Buildable Figure has the same level of accuracy, we can likely expect slimmer, more delicate limbs. After all, Spider-Man as he’s seen in the MCU is not a hulking lump of muscle or metal. He’s lithe and agile, and the details we’d want to see would be the webbed effect on his suit and the skin-tight effect of his superhero costume.
That could mean that 76346 Spider-Man Buildable Figure may be built to the same scale as 76344 Iron Man Mark 3 Collectors’ Edition, despite the 500-piece difference in size, especially if there’s no stand included. Considering how impressed we were with the most recent buildable figure of Iron Man, we’re certainly hoping for a second slam dunk, if the rumours of a buildable Spider-Man do prove to be true.

We don’t just want the same quality in 76346 Spider-Man Buildable Figure so we have a neat display; we just want more of that rewarding build experience.
