Rumour source backs up LEGO Star Wars battle pack teaser
A source of LEGO rumours has backed up a theory that a new LEGO Star Wars poster may be teasing a 2024 battle pack, naming a feature.
Max Börnicke, who has reported on several rumoured LEGO sets in the past, has stated on Instagram that they believe the silhouetted tri-droid in the background of one portion is a rumoured 2024 LEGO Star Wars set, as has been theorised. It’s worth noting that Börnicke is one of the original sources of the rumoured 75372 Clone Trooper & Battle Droid Battle Pack.
You can download the poster for yourself via the LEGO Insiders Rewards Centre for free, though images posted to the LEGO Group’s Instagram provide the highest-quality look at the droid.
Compared the droid model to the build featured in 2014’s 75036 Utapau Troopers, there appear to be a few differences including a lack of flick-fire missiles. However, Börnicke states that there are still flick-fire missiles in the rumoured set, but they are positioned in a spot that is not currently visible in the poster.
They also mention that the model is surrounded by Super Battle Droids and Shock Troopers, neither of which are in the 2014 set. Otherwise, the poster uses existing sets and minifigures. Treat all rumours with caution until officially confirmed as we near 2024.
