Rumoured LEGO Marvel Infinity Saga sets reveal delayed

The reveal of the rumoured wave of LEGO Marvel Infinity Saga sets has apparently been delayed until next week.

A report from Instagram user lego_club_news originally singled out May 11 as the reveal date for the summer Marvel sets, which will allegedly revisit classic movies in the Marvel Cinematic Universe – including Iron Man, Captain America: The First Avenger and Guardians of the Galaxy.

That date has now come and gone, with no new superhero sets to show for it. According to lego_fulcrum, that’s because the planned Marvel reveals won’t happen until ‘next week’. They haven’t specified a particular day, but another Instagram user suggests it could be May 19.

Lego_fulcrum – who has proved very reliable in the past – has also stressed that ‘at this point, nothing is confirmed’, so take even that news with a grain of salt. If the six rumoured sets are due to launch on June 1, though, we’re very likely to see something soon – particularly given the rest of the early summer sets have almost all been unveiled already.

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
