Save £15 on LEGO Icons 10292 The Friends Apartments while stocks last

LEGO Icons 10292 The Friends Apartments is retiring this year, so grab the sitcom set before it’s gone for good with a £15 discount at Zavvi.

Building on 2019’s 21319 Central Perk – released through the LEGO Ideas platform – 10292 The Friends Apartments offers brick-built recreations of both Joey and Chandler’s and Monica and Rachel’s luxurious New York apartments. It usually retails for £159.99, but Zavvi has slashed the price of the 2,048-piece set down to just £144.99.

Don’t let the weird box art put you off: 10292 The Friends Apartments is packed with even more references to the classic ‘90s sitcom than its predecessor, from Joey and Chandler’s reclining chairs and Monica’s Thanksgiving turkey (pop it on her head for maximum effect) to Phoebe’s dollhouse and even the painting of Gladys.

The hallway that adjoins both apartments is also present and correct (plenty of action happened there, after all), and you’ll find a full seven minifigures in the box to recreate all your favourite Friends scenes. As well as the six main characters – Monica, Ross, Rachel, Chandler, Joey and Phoebe, each in brand new outfits compared to 21319 Central Perk – there’s also the first-ever LEGO minifigure of Janice.

10292 The Friends Apartments is currently scheduled to leave production by the end of 2023, so could theoretically disappear from shelves any time between now and December. From October onwards is most likely, but at least one set did vanish as early as July in 2023, so… wait at your own risk if this is high on your wish list. Or, take advantage of Zavvi’s price and treat yo’ self. (Umm, wrong show.)

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
