The latest double points event is your last chance to pick up the current suite of retiring LEGO sets with maximum returns at LEGO.com, including seven that you definitely shouldn’t miss out on.
The 120+ sets tagged as ‘Last Chance’ at LEGO.com in the UK and Europe – and the remaining 46 in the US – will only be available until current supply dries up, as the LEGO Group has stopped producing new copies. That means time is rapidly running out to add them to your collection before they sell out for good, at which point they’ll likely shoot up in price on the aftermarket.
It’s a tale as old as time, so don’t get caught out if your wishlist still includes any of these sets. If you do need to swoop on any of them, the LEGO Group is currently offering double points (equivalent to 10% cashback) on everything, 40603 Wintertime Carriage Ride with orders above £130 / $150 / €150 and 40604 Christmas Décor Set with orders over £65 / $70 / €70.
You’ve only got until December 12 to take advantage of all three of those offers, though – or while stocks last on the two festive freebies, and indeed while stock remains of your chosen retiring LEGO sets. Check out our top picks of what’s left online below. (Note that all these have already sold out in the US, where the only high-profile retiring sets still available are 76215 Black Panther and 75323 The Justifier.)
10266 NASA Apollo 11 Lunar Lander
Price: £89.99 / $99.99 / €99.99 Pieces: 1,087 Available:

This slice of real-world history is the sort of LEGO set that could inspire a generation of astronauts, so popping it on a shelf where your kids (or prospective kids) can see it could be a smart investment. Or you could just buy 10266 NASA Apollo 11 Lunar Lander for yourself, and there’s definitely an argument to be made for that, because this long-surviving LEGO Creator Expert set (remember that label?) is out of this world. Sorry not sorry.
10293 Santa’s Visit
Price: £89.99 / $99.99 / €99.99 Pieces: 1,445 Available:

One of three current LEGO Winter Village sets,
40366 LEGO House Dinosaurs
Price: £74.99 Pieces: 865 Available:

Don’t be too surprised if this one’s passed you by. 40366 LEGO House Dinosaurs was originally available exclusively at Billund’s premier tourist attraction (LEGO House, obvs), but is now available in select regions at LEGO.com. Double points and at least one GWP is basically the best deal you’re ever going to get on the trio of brick-built dinos, and its limited availability almost guarantees it will rise in price post-retirement…
10278 Police Station
Price: £169.99 / $199.99 / €199.99 Pieces: 2,923 Available:

One of three LEGO modular buildings leaving shelves in 2023 (alongside 10255 Assembly Square and 10270 Bookshop), 10278 Police Station is one of the range’s best sets, and well worth grabbing whether you’re a modular completionist or approach the subtheme selectively. You’ll get £17 / €20 back in Insiders points right now, too – and it qualifies for both of this year’s Xmas gifts-with-purchase right out the door.
75309 Republic Gunship
Price: £344.99 / $399.99 / €399.99 Pieces: 3,292 Available:

If 75354 Coruscant Guard Gunship is a little on the small side for you, why not take it to the other extreme with 75309 Republic Gunship? Justifying the price tag for this enormous LEGO Star Wars Ultimate Collector Series set is the easy bit (at least with double points and two GWPs up for grabs). The harder part is figuring out how to accommodate the ship’s gigantic wingspan. But where there’s a will, there’s a way…
10276 Colosseum
Price: £474.99 / $549.99 / €549.99 Pieces: 9,036 Available:

One of the first retiring LEGO sets to sell out at LEGO.com in the US in 2023, 10276 Colosseum is just about still available in the UK and Europe. Stock of the LEGO Icons monster must be running dangerously low by now, though, given how early it vanished across the pond. And as it’s only sold through LEGO.com and in LEGO Stores, you’ll never find a better deal than double points and multiple GWPs.
21325 Medieval Blacksmith
Price: £159.99 / $199.99 / €199.99 Pieces: 2,164 Available:

LEGO Castle fans will want to make a beeline for 21325 Medieval Blacksmith before it retires, even if you already own one or more copies of this incredible LEGO Ideas set. The possibilities for alternate builds at Rebrickable are pretty much endless, so you can create an entire medieval town with only the pieces in the box. Snap it up while stocks last with double points and two gifts-with-purchase.
The current double points event at LEGO.com runs through December 12. Click here to check out the full slate of LEGO sets due to retire in 2023, theme by theme.
