Six of the best details in new LEGO The Legend of Zelda set
LEGO The Legend of Zelda 77093 Ocarina of Time – The Final Battle is full of great details for fans of the game and LEGO alike, including these six.
With pre-orders for 77093 Ocarina of Time – The Final Battle now open, all that’s left is to wait until March 1, when we can finally start to build the second full The Legend of Zelda set. In the meantime, we can only pore over the official images of the set to admire the various small details.
From a brand-new sword piece to a rare detail for LEGO textiles, here are six of the best details in 77093 Ocarina of Time – The Final Battle.
Dual-sided printing on a cape

The first detail we spotted will stand out to LEGO fans specifically. While capes and patterned capes are nothing new, it is much more uncommon for a LEGO cape to be patterned on both sides. Ganondorf has such a cape, capturing as much detail as possible.
Previous examples of LEGO capes with patterns on both sides are rare, including those worn by Vision from 76269 Avengers Tower and King Magnifico from 43224 King Magnifico’s Castle.

Including one in the more affordable ELGO The Legend of Zelda set furthers the value for LEGO fans, and is sure to be appreciated by The Legend of Zelda fans for depicting the minifigure with a high level of detail.
A LEGO Triforce, not the Blacktron logo

Another great feature in 77093 Ocarina of Time – The Final Battle has to be the Triforce built into the display base. The iconic, but simple, emblem has a straightforward assembly, but it’s good to see it finally included in a LEGO set. Rest assured, this is not the Blacktron logo upside down.
Some useful printed tiles

The giant Ganon figure in 77093 Ocarina of Time – The Final Battle makes use of a new decorated 2×2 tile to depict the fabrics on his body. This detail appears to be printed rather than a sticker, much like the rest of the decorations on the figure.
For LEGO fans, this decorated tile will be useful for patterned pathways, similar to those in 10359 Fountain Garden. We can only hope that the design on this tile is generic enough to land on Pick a Brick in the future, since Ganon’s figure only has five.
An additional weapon

Hidden behind the tower in 77093 Ocarina of Time – The Final Battle is the Megaton Hammer, a useful tool to have when Link loses access to the Master Sword during this final boss fight. It’s a nice detail to have, especially when paired with the next one on this list.
The glowing weak point

Ganon’s figure has an accurately transparent tail, though with some grey ball joints throwing off the design slightly. Despite this, it recreates the glowing weak point from the boss battle clearly enough, ready for Link to strike it with the hammer, or ideally, the Master Sword.
An all-new sword piece

Speaking of swords, there’s an all-new element for huge weapons in 77093 Ocarina of Time – The Final Battle. The element has a single cross-axle connection point and is inspired by the swords used in the Ocarina of Time boss fight, though it is fairly generic in shape and design. It seems likely that this will follow in the footsteps of the Hylian Shield mould, though, and be available on Pick a Brick and used in other contexts following the launch of this new set.
These details and more can be found in 77093 Ocarina of Time – The Final Battle, launching on March 1 for £99.99 / $129.99 / €119.99, and available to pre-order now.
