Six more interesting sets in LEGO BrickLink Designer Program Series 2

It’s long past time to vote on the projects in Series 2 of the LEGO BrickLink Designer Program, but we’re highlighting a few more interesting models.

We’re currently waiting for the results of the second series of the LEGO BrickLink Designer Program, to see which models will be proceeding to crowdfunding.

In the meantime, there’s still time to follow up on our original report and pick out some more notable entries that could be the next LEGO BrickLink Designer Program set.

Expanding on the world of LEGO Pirates, Ominous Isle is another base for seafaring scallywags with a full interior and modular setup to rearrange as you wish.

5 – Modular School with Playground

Fan designerFalkorich Pieces: 2,148 Stickers: 3 Minifigures: 7

That playground at two floors up might not seem safe, but in the world of LEGO, this modular school is perfectly acceptable and complete with a car park for the faculty.

4 – The Lambda House

Fan designerLysander Pieces: 3,714 Stickers: 0 Minifigures: 4

Even the most modern of LEGO homes don’t quite compare to the Lambda House from Lysander, using a variety of interesting angles and shapes to create a stunning abode with a fully-furnished interior.

3 – Classic Racer in 1:10 scale

Fan designerLukasRS Pieces: 1,384 Stickers: 6 Minifigures: 0

For those who don’t quite have the space for 42141 McLaren Formula 1 Race Car, this classic racer might suffice, using a mix of System and Technic pieces for a different take on a Formula 1 car.

2 – The Mechanical Raven

Fan designerBrickjester Pieces: 609 Stickers: 0 Minifigures: 0

The Mechanical Raven by Brickjester offers a smaller model than many of the submissions in the second series of the BrickLink Designer Program but still packs in plenty of details on top of a brick-built book.

1 – Two Resting Knights

Fan designerJulCur Pieces: 1,775 Stickers: 2 Minifigures: 0

Referencing LEGO Castle, but in a different way than any official models, these brick-built figures use entirely System pieces to represent a pair of knights full of character, resting by a fire.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
