Someone’s made the one LEGO cat to rule them all
The release of LEGO Ideas 21376 Orange Cat has inspired one member of the community to upgrade it with another recent release.
When you think of sets to pair with 21376 Orange Cat, the list that comes to mind probably includes 10366 Tropical Aquarium, 21349 Tuxedo Cat and 31376 Cute Hamster with a Flower. What’s probably not on there is 11373 The Lord of the Rings: Sauron’s Helmet. Arts_Myth on Reddit is out to prove that it should be on the first list.
They’ve taken the most recent LEGO helmet and stuck it on top of the body of 21376 Orange Cat. It probably shouldn’t work quite as well as it does, but it definitely changes the character of this plastic feline.
Swapping the heads of LEGO cats is nothing new. The comments demonstrate this with an image of the top of 10333 The Lord of the Rings: Barad-dûr on the body of 21349 Tuxedo Cat. This combination is somehow less unsettling than that one.
Also in the comments, Arts_Myth shows that the head of 21376 Orange Cat can be attached to the top of 40649 Up-Scaled LEGO Minifigure, which is also an odd combination. You can also put the helmet on the larger minifigure, but it looks simply too big.

Whether you want to recreate this remix for yourself or keep the two sets separate, 21376 Orange Cat is out now for £89.99 / $99.99 / €99.99. We took a closer look at this model and what’s changed in it earlier this year. 11373 The Lord of the Rings: Sauron’s Helmet is available for £64.99 / $69.99 / €74.99.
