LEGO Helicarrier video showcases hidden features and details

A promotional video for the LEGO Helicarrier has showcased a few hidden details not seen in official imagery, including a clever play feature.

The LEGO Group’s latest social media video promoting an upcoming model is for 76354 S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier, shared over on Instagram. The video is well worth a watch, even following the reveal, to get a look at angles of the models not previously seen.

Keep watching, and you’ll see a play feature that was teased in official imagery, but never fully explained. One of the official images for 76354 S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier showed the container featuring Loki floating next to the minifigures on the display base. There’s no place for Loki’s pod to hang like this, though.

The video explains that this is part of a play feature in 76354 S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier, recreating the moment from The Avengers where the pod is dropped towards the ground. You activate this function by hitting some kind of button or level inside the chamber on the interior of 76354 S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier.

It’s a neat feature in 76354 S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier that we wouldn’t have otherwise seen in action before reviews of the set start to surface ahead of June 1.

The video continues with a look at a rare angle of the set – the underside. The wide window at the front of the Helicarrier is present in the new Marvel model, and the engines. Not all of the underside os accurate to the vehicle seen in the movies, though.

“The underside is the least accurate part of the model,” shared Designer Mark Stafford at Fan Media Days 2025.

“I’ve spent so much time after building the smaller version and so much time looking at this, where the jet scene happens is [further towards the centre], and it should really have a keyhole shape, and these sharp corners shouldn’t be there, it should be very smooth here. Unfortunately, that’s almost impossible to build and have on a stand, so I had to move things around a bit.”

Despite these comments, the underside of 76354 S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier is comparably accurate to that of 76042 SHIELD Helicarrier, and it has all of the essential components. 76354 S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier will be released on June 1, 2026, for £329.99 / $399.99 / €369.99, and pre-orders are open now.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
