Something big is still to come for LEGO Harry Potter in 2021

The LEGO Group’s 20th anniversary celebrations for Harry Potter aren’t over yet – and something truly magical is apparently coming later this year.

According to Brick Fanatics’ sources, 76391 Hogwarts Icons Collectors’ Edition isn’t the final stop in the LEGO Harry Potter 20th anniversary tour. Instead, the LEGO Group will be capping off its year of Wizarding World celebrations with something very special indeed for Harry Potter fans.

That’s really all we know at this point (presumably the full details are stored away in the Restricted Section), but given everything we’ve seen for the theme’s 20th anniversary so far, we’re very excited for what could be next.

As a reminder, that anniversary content – which celebrates two decades since the very first LEGO Harry Potter sets alongside the Philosopher’s Stone arriving in cinemas – includes nine golden minifigures spread across this summer’s sets, along with a collection of randomly-distributed 2×2 printed tiles designed to look like the purple and gold Chocolate Frog cards.

It’s all culminated in another home run direct-to-consumer set for the LEGO Harry Potter theme in 76391 Hogwarts Icons Collectors’ Edition, which includes a life-size version of Hedwig the owl atop a tower of brick-built magical objects. I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
