Spider-Man: No Way Home swings back into cinemas in September

To celebrate 60 years of everyone’s favourite webhead, Marvel Studios and Sony will be releasing a new fan cut of Spider-Man: No Way Home.

They say you can have too much of a good thing, but that doesn’t seem to be the case when it comes to Marvel movies. Last year’s Spider-Man: No Way Home was the biggest box office hit of 2021, with the third Tom Holland superhero outing bringing in a massive $804 million haul, making it one of the highest-grossing movies of all time.

Now Marvel Studios and Sony will be giving fans more of what they want with Spider-Man: No Way Home – The More Fun Stuff Version arriving in cinemas on September 2. The new cut of the film will initially launch in the US and Canada, with more countries to follow.

The news was announced in a jokey tweet from the official Spider-Man: No Way Home Twitter account featuring the movie’s three stars, Tom Holland, Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield. The clip ends with the now classic meme of the three Spider-Men pointing at one another.

It’s unclear exactly what will be added to the film to justify the release, but Sony has previously noted that plenty of deleted scenes and footage exists that didn’t make it into the original cut of the movie.

There is currently only one LEGO Marvel set available that ties directly into Spider-Man: No Way Home: 76185 Spider-Man at the Sanctum Workshop. Rumours suggest a possible reveal of a new Sanctum Sanctorum might occur at LEGO CON 2022 next week, with a recent report stating that a Spider-Man minifigure may also be included in the set. However, this remains pure speculation for now until there’s any such confirmation from the LEGO Group.
