Star Wars’ The Acolyte set photos reveal possible characters

Leaked photos from the set of Star Wars show, The Acolyte, have allowed fans to identify some characters appearing in the Disney Plus series.

Billed to be the first Sith-led show in the Star Wars universe, the cast for The Acolyte has already been confirmed. Now, early looks at the actors published by the Daily Mail in their costumes have given indications of which Star Wars figures we can expect to see.

The first couple capture Squid Game’s Lee Jung-jae in what look to be Jedi robes, suggesting he could be the Jedi Master referenced in the show’s description. Similarly, Dean-Charles Chapman is spotted in robes but with a long braid, suggesting he’s a Padawan.

Other photos offer a look at non-human characters, including a Zabrak (also in Jedi-style robes) and a Wookiee. Making a departure from the Jedi clothing, there’s also a woman carrying a gun and dressed much like a bounty hunter.

These early looks give a flavour for what’s to come, but it’s hard to draw any conclusive guesses on which actors will fit into what we know about the plot so far.

“It’s set 100 years before the prequel movies, and it’s kind of an explanation of how the Sith infiltrated the Jedi,” actor Dafne Keen told TechRadar. “It’s a Sith-led story, which has never been done before.”

While the majority of the characters appear to be associated with the Jedi Order, that’s only to be expected from this description. We’ll have to wait until we get a full trailer or more details to know how each of these figures relates to one another – and who will be the Sith infiltrating the Jedi.
