Star Wars casting report could affect rumoured LEGO The Mandalorian set

A casting report for a character’s live-action debut may affect a rumoured LEGO Star Wars: The Mandalorian set.

According to Making Star Wars, Bo-Katan Kryze isn’t going to be the only animated character to transition to live-action thanks to The Mandalorian – and their choice of ship happens to coincide with a rumoured LEGO set.

Note that the rest of this report may feature spoilers for the third season of The Mandalorian, though the rumour has yet to be confirmed.

The report states that Mandalorian warrior and pilot Fenn Rau from Star Wars: Rebels is coming to The Mandalorian Season 3, to be portrayed by his original voice actor – Kevin McKidd.

While this has yet to be officially confirmed and could be inaccurate, Fenn wouldn’t be the first animated Star Wars character to feature in a Disney+ series with Bo-Katan in The Mandalorian as well as Ahsoka and fellow Mandalorian Sabine Wren in the upcoming Ahsoka series.

Fenn also piloted a Fang Fighter in his first appearance in Star Wars: Rebels, the same ship that is rumoured to be receiving a LEGO Star Wars set based on The Mandalorian Season 3.

Fenn’s proficiency with Fang Fighters, combined with this casting report and the rumour of a LEGO set featuring the ship could offer an opportunity to diversify The Mandalorian minifigures further with our first for Fenn Rau.

Note that both the casting rumour and the LEGO set report have yet to be confirmed so we’d advise taking this information with a heavy pinch of salt just in case.

The Mandalorian Season 3 is streaming now with a new episode each week. Three models for the season have been revealed including the most recent 75361 Spider Tank
