Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is free to play right now

Ahead of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor’s fast-approaching release, you can play the first game in the series for free right now.

PlayStation gamers can play Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order for free right now via PlayStation Plus. Each month, subscribers to PlayStation Plus get access to free games that they can play and keep for the entire length of their membership. Between January 3 and February 1, that means you can download Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order for free, as well as Fallout 76 and Axiom Verge 2.

Fallen Order first came out in 2019 and follows protagonist Cal Kestis after the events of Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. The Jedi Padawan survived the purge in Episode III and is now on a mission to hit back against the Empire, sending him (and the player) up against lethal opponents like none other than Vader himself.

The game proved so popular that it got its own LEGO Star Wars set attached to it, with the appearance of 75335 BD-1. As with most Star Wars content, the droid is one of the most popular characters to appear and makes for easy material to convert into a cute LEGO Star Wars build.

Cal’s story will continue in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, which is due to release on March 17, 2023. To play Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order for free, all you need is a PlayStation Plus subscription, which starts from £13.49 a month for an ongoing monthly subscription.

I write about all the very best fandoms – and that means LEGO, of course. Spending so much time looking at and talking about LEGO sets is dangerous for my bank balance, but the LEGO shelves are thriving. You win some, you lose some.
