The Star Wars Lando Calrissian series is still happening

Despite silence for almost two and a half years, the Lando Calrissian Disney+ Star Wars is still on its way.

First announced in December 2020 at a Disney Investor Day, Lando is an upcoming Star Wars series that has had no official updates since its official announcement. In an interview with Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy at Star Wars Celebration, the series was confirmed to still be coming.

“I can just tell you it’s still happening, and he’s very excited about it,” responded Kennedy to IGN when asked about the series and Donald Glover’s involvement, confirming the actor for the series as was previously rumoured.

Glover previously played a younger Lando Calrissian in Solo: A Star Wars Story and even has a minifigure ready for any potential future appearances. Every Star Wars series so far has received at least one LEGO set, not including Visions as a volume of shorts.

Lando is one of a few upcoming series streaming on Disney+ in the future with some of the soonest arrivals including Star Wars: Visions Volume 2, Ahsoka and The Acolyte.
