Star Wars magazine provides update on The Mandalorian Season 4

An official Star Wars Magazine may have provided an update on the production of The Mandalorian Season 4 ahead of a movie based on the series.

As Screen Rant reports, the latest issue of the official Star Wars Insider magazine has removed The Mandalorian Season 4 from the list of projects that are coming soon. This follows previous reports that the next season may not be on the way and other reports refuting that.

Now, the official magazine is no longer listing the fourth season in a column of projects coming soon which features only the second season of Ahsoka and The Mandalorian & Grogu movie as ‘In Development’ projects. Otherwise, both The Acolyte and Skeleton Crew are listed too, but as coming soon as work appears to be far enough along for them to not be considered as in development.

While this may be perceived as confirmation that the fourth season isn’t coming after all, it seems plausible that the team behind the magazine may not have wanted The Mandalorian Season 4 and The Mandalorian & Grogu on the same list to avoid confusion. Logos are used for the list and it could be that distinguishing between The Mandalorian’s logo and that of The Mandalorian & Grogu was seen as potentially confusing.

It’s also possible that the season is currently on hold while work is underway on the movie – which is scheduled to be released on May 22, 202 – causing it to be temporarily removed from the list.

Whatever the case may be, nothing has been officially announced regarding the status of The Mandalorian Season 4 at the time of writing, though writing for it has at least begun by Jon Favreau.

LEGO has been a part of my life ever since I was young. It all started when my brother passed down 7657 AT-ST to me. It’s guided me through my early years, through school and eventually through my degree in journalism. I still have all my collection proudly on display, including my many NINJAGO sets, my favourite of all the LEGO Group’s themes. Outside of Brick Fanatics I am an avid gamer and enjoy a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
