New Star Wars: The Mandalorian Season 3 trailer includes Grogu, Mandalore and more

A brand new trailer for Star Wars: The Mandalorian Season 3 has landed online, teasing new planets, ships and characters – along with more than a few familiar faces.

The Star Wars universe’s first live-action show returns to screens on March 1, hot on the heels of The Bad Batch Season 2, which will still be airing alongside The Mandalorian throughout March. And with Grogu and Mando reunited in The Book of Boba Fett (or The Mandalorian Season 2.5, if you prefer), there’s plenty of Baby Yoda action on the cards.

The best of it arguably comes right at the end of the latest trailer for The Mandalorian Season 3, which shows off plenty of new footage from Din Djarin and Grogu’s journey to Mandalore, where the bounty hunter hopes to be ‘forgiven for [his] trangressions’. Hit play on the video below to check it out.

Alongside debuting the new trailer during Monday night’s NFL play-off game, Disney and Lucasfilm have also confirmed the directors helming the new season. Those include familiar names in Rick Famuyiwa, Bryce Dallas Howard and Carl Weathers, as well as Lee Isaac Chung (Minari), Peter Ramsey (Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse) and Rachel Morrison (Black Panther).

Pedro Pascal is back once again as Din Djarin, meanwhile, with Carl Weathers, Katee Sackhoff, Giancarlo Esposito and Amy Sedaris all set to reprise their roles from previous seasons. The first episode of Star Wars: The Mandalorian Season 3 arrives on Disney+ on March 1, 2023.

Two LEGO Star Wars: The Mandalorian Season 3 sets are currently rumoured to be launching in May 2023, including a double-pack of a Mandalorian Fang Fighter and TIE Interceptor – both of which can be seen in this trailer…

I like to think of myself as a journalist first, LEGO fan second, but we all know that’s not really the case. Journalism does run through my veins, though, like some kind of weird literary blood – the sort that will no doubt one day lead to a stress-induced heart malfunction. It’s like smoking, only worse. Thankfully, I get to write about LEGO until then.
