Star Wars: Underworld makes us want the return of a rare LEGO minifigure
A rarely-seen LEGO Star Wars minifigure character is one of a few familiar faces that appear in the first trailer for Star Wars: Tales of the Underworld.
Fans of animated adventures in a galaxy far, far away will have plenty to look forward to on May 4, 2025, when Star Wars: Tales of the Underworld is unleashed on Disney+. The third instalment in the Tales anthology will be a six-episode series of shorts focusing on two fan-favourite bounty hunters.
The first official trailer for Star Wars: Tales of the Underworld reveals that the show will follow Cad Bane and Asajj Ventress in a post-Empire universe, with both characters having previously appeared in minifigure form over the years.
However, seeing Count Dooku’s former apprentice has made us yearn all the more for an updated version of Asajj Ventress, who has only been included in a total of four LEGO Star Wars sets so far.
To date, the Dathomirian Nightsister has popped up in 7676 Republic Attack Gunship in 2008, as part of a San Diego Comic-Con exclusive in 2009, 7957 Sith Nightspeeder in 2011, 75087 Anakin’s Custom Jedi Starfighter in 2015 and as a keychain.
That’s relatively few appearances for one of the main characters in Star Wars: The Clone Wars, with the reformed Sith warrior also making her presence known in the final season of Star Wars: The Bad Batch.
With so many LEGO Star Wars sets already rumoured to be arriving in 2025, we’re keeping our lightsabers crossed that a new Asajj Ventress minifigure might be included in at least one of them, but that remains speculation on our part for now.
Star Wars: Tales of the Underworld will begin streaming for all subscribers on Disney+ on May 4, 2025, also known to fans as the annual celebration that is Star Wars Day.
